Producer Jeff “Critter” Newell Passes Away
Producer Jeff “Critter” Newell, best known in this scene for work on every Angels & Airwaves record and blink-182’s Neighborhoods, died on December 31st at the age of 45. You can read a brief report on his passing below by clicking “Read More”.

Today I finally was able to buff out my guitar and reassemble it. There are a few mistakes that will probably bug me for a little bit but they’re hardly noticeable to anyone else so I’m slightly okay with it. This was 6 months in the making and a little over $100 was put into it.

Summer Project
I decided this summer I’m going to work on my electric guitar. It’s a Tom Delonge Signature Fender Strat but the body is terrible condition. It was dropped years ago and a bunch of the paint cracked and chipped off leaving some dents in the wood. Back my immediate bright idea was to sand all the paint off down to the wood which I did. Then I spray painted it white with all the dents still there. I want to sand it down again and fill the dents, prime it, paint it a vintage cream color, clear coat it, replace the pearloid pickguard with a tortoise one and give it some new hardware. Possibly wire in a tone knob that doesn’t exist now.
